This wrench is for removing the castle nut on an AR15. Other multi-purpose wrenches I priced were in the $45-75 range. While the other wrenches can do other jobs that I may need to perform from time to time, for $7 this wrench is well-made and does the job fine.

This wrench is helpful if you are looking to replace the stock, buffer tube extension, add a sling plate, or perform a number of other modifications.

Note: As with tightening anything, be careful not to overtighten the castle nut as the indentions in the castle nut can be fairly easily spread apart.

Do not buy if you have a S&W M&P 15 Sport!

I wish someone would of noted this before I ordered it and marred up my butt stock ring!

Don’t order it! It does not fit the slots correctly and will cause bad scratches if you attempt to use it thinking that’s how it’s supposed to fit.

Simple excellent & compact tool you can even bring to the range…, February 4, 2011
This review is from: Tapco Intrafuse AR Stock Wrench (Sports)

Nothing more to add to this. Very SIMPLE tool. Easily fits in the ammo can or field/range bag in case your buffer tube ring goes loose. The ONLY complaint here is that I have seen this go for about $6-$7 each, which is how much I paid for a half dozen of them in early 2010. I wouldn’t pay more than that, plus $5 to ship (if no free shipping). So buyer beware on Amazon if the retailer sells it for more than that. I’d look elsewhere.
