While we used to own the local Army Navy Surplus, we had Atwood as one of better 550 cord suppliers, and for good reason, they provide a constant quality for this product, and always at a competitive price without sacrificing quality or quantity. I choose the bright orange (and it is really bright) this time to use as possible guy-tie-outs for a tent/tarp, close-line, and lashing while out on the water or hiking.
This type of product is all the rage now in the survival movement, with folks doing all sorts of braided belts, wrist-lets, key fobs and the such; its even a good thing to help keep the youngsters involved in some family activity, or knot-tying skill development. And of course, you can use the inside nylon sections to fish with, or lash up some shelter supports, help make a foot bridge and the such, and the outside casing can be used for stitching up tears, or as a sheath for something else.
Whatever the intended use? This is the stuff to consider using, its like and outdoors mans Duct Tape in the emergency sense for many the thing Duct Tape can’t do . . . they are great companion survival/camping/hunting items.

|Lovely colors more vibrant than photo suggests,
The colors woven into this cord are much brighter and more vibrant than the photo suggests; I suspect the pigments are partly fluorescent, which will make the colors difficult to reproduce with standard photo treatment.
The colors include a bright yellow, a yellowish green, a medium green, and black. A bit loud, but lovely spring colors nonetheless.
It works well for decorative knots. I can’t vouch for the cord’s conformance to the strength and durability specifications.

|As colorful as a screensaver,
Bold, Vibrant colors. Like looking at a screensaver. Does not appear to have some of the “Stretch” qualities I have read about for others. Arrived WELL before the stated delivery time.
