|A good thing to have around,
I got this as a b-day gift and the person loved it! We all live in California, and with the frequent earthquakes, it is a good thing to have. The family said that they would keep theirs in the car, so that it is there if they need to get out of the house quickly and drive. We also have one (of a different brand, but same idea), and we keep it in the house with a few extras we added to customize it: votive candles, a lighter, a deck of playing cards, a pen and a notepad, a small radio, meds, travel-size toothpaste and soap, even a set of underwear…
The only drawback of this brand is that the backpack doesn’t come with a list of the contents and a form to reorder supplies, as ours does.

|Okay for the average duffer.,
Very basic stuff. Instead of the heavy water packets, more survival gear and a micro filter straw instead of water would have been more practical or even a micro filter water bottle. Water is in abundance just not potable water.
