If you are fussy about color, the colors in this photo are WAY off!, August 14, 2013

As I am the 2nd reviewer to mention this, I have to think this goes beyond monitor issues. I am a long-standing Amazon Prime member, who orders MANY items from Amazon. I would say I probably order at least 2-3 items per week, on average. I understand that things can be a ‘slightly different’ in color from what they appear to be on my monitor, and I accept that. These sleeping bags, however, (I ordered three for my kids) go far beyond ‘slightly different’ in color, so I believe it is only fair that people be warned. I am stating nothing at all about the quality of the sleeping bags. They are appear to be of lasting quality. We used them over Labor Day Weekend, in the mountains, in Washington state. Nighttime temperatures were around 48-50 degrees. and the kiddos were more than comfortable. Also, the kids were able to stuff them back in their sacks, which are quite small, which was nice for packing.
Now, for what the colors are: The olive green is not at all bright as pictured. Is is much more drab brown/olive green. On my monitor, the inside of this bag appears to be blue. Is it definitely not blue. Is is grey. Not even a blue’ish grey…..it is grey, grey, grey. Blah. Lastly, the color that appears to be a pink’ish red (on my monitor) is actually more of a tomato red. I don’t hate these enough to send them back. Based on reveiws of their quality, I expect they’ll work out great. And I don’t want to deal with a return hassle, even though I’d rather have ‘cute bags’ for my kids,in the color I envisioned. Oh well. It’s still an ‘okay-looking’ bag. Just doesn’t make me go “Oh, that’s really adorable”, like the photo on my monitor made me do. Much more drab colors in reality. I’m not at all saying, “Don’t buy this bag.” I’m just saying you should be fully aware of what colors it REALLY has on it. It has brownish olive green, grey and tomato red.

We got this for my daughter and she loves it! it is warm and comfortable. It also folds us pretty small and is light enough for my 3 year old to carry.

After doing extensive research on sleeping bags for the young ones and after visiting some sport equipment stores, I have to say this product is a good value for the price. I have only used so far once for camping and it performed well, the temperature that night was almost at 30F and keep the children warm and toasty.
