This sleeping bag was cosy and warm. The outside material is soft and flexable, and the inside material is very soft cozy and warm flannel. The sleeping bag rolled up to a good size for car camping.(it rolled up slightly smaller than my old one)

Good for the price, just a few cons…, July 11, 2011
This review is from: Coleman Trinidad Warm-Weather Sleeping Bag (Sports)

When I bought 2 of these sleeping bags, they were coleman’s cheapest at the moment, considering I wanted 60º to 40º ones. I and 2 other people have used and are satisfied considering the price.

    Pros:

-Seems somewhat water resistant: I placed it on the bare grass and laid there for a couple of hours watching the night sky. When I decided to get inside the tent, I realized the water level of the river had risen so part of the grass was wet, in fact the earth was mildly covered in water. I just had to dry the exterior of the sleeping bag, it seems it didn’t absorb any water at all so no moist got to the inside.
-Not heavy for its temp rating.
-really 60º to 40º: As I said before 3 people have used on a well ventilated tent on windy nights around 50º and all slept very comfortable (one of them was a woman that doesn’t like cold weather at all)
-Easy to zip 2 together: After I figured out how (never did that before and didn’t read the instructions) and doing it once, I became a pro and the second time was as very quick.
-When zipping 2 together, you get just a small hole (around 1 inch at most)on the middle feet area where both zips meet
    -Nice color

    Cons:
-The worst part is the inner material: Even though it feels to me comfortable to sleep in, it catches on clothes (just a bit), rough fingernails and what made me deduct one star: on loose skin around fingernails, even worst it seems to make them multiply. It catches and pulls those very sensitive little bits of loose skin around your fingernails and can make moving inside the bag very uncomfortable. I don’t know if it was because of rough camping activities or the sleeping bag, but those bits of skin seemed to multiply by the hour (I don’t usually have much or any at all).
-the carrying case isn’t completely water resistant, since a part of it is made of the inner fabric of the sleeping bag. If you don’t have enough space on your backpack and have your sleeping bag attached to it on a rainy trip, you’ll have to be careful cause water may get trough.

At the time of writing this, the price of this item is almost the same (1.5$ less) as the “Coleman Clear Lake Warm-Weather Sleeping Bag” which doesn’t seem to have the same inner material, is rated at the same temperature and reviewers don’t seem to be complaining about the cons I suggested. If you don’t mind that brown color (which I dislike) it should be a better option.

Nothing special here, but the price is decent. I haven’t had any problems with the zipper like other reviewers. I was able to get the sleeping bag back into the stuff sack after using and washing, but I can’t zip the compression zipper up on the bag. Not a problem for me since I have no need to save space. The lining of the bag could be smoother; it will easily catch on clothing or a rough fingernail. Overall a decent sleeping bag for occasional use. I don’t have leg room issues, but then I’m only 5 feet tall.
