How does a handheld vacuum sealer work?
Using the Electric Mason Jar Vacuum Sealer is a breeze. After dehydrating your food and placing it in a mason jar, follow these steps:
- Clean the jar rim thoroughly. Simply wipe it down with a lint free DRY cloth. Do not use water.
- Place a regular canning jar lid on top.
- Attach the appropriate adapter for your jar size (regular or wide mouth).
- Press down firmly until the rubber seals around the jar.
- Press the button on top to start the vacuum sealing process.
The jar sealer uses suction to pull the oxygen out of the jar. The canning lid seals down and the jar is good for storage.
NOTE – this is not used for sealing wet foods. This does not replace canning. This is used for either dehydrated foods, freeze dried foods or dry pantry staples like pasta, or beans.
Efficient Vacuum Sealing
One of the things I love about this vacuum sealer is how quickly it works. With smaller jars, it takes around 40-45 seconds to finish, just as the instructions suggest. Even with larger jars like the one I used, the process is quick.. I thought it would take longer but it worked in about 45 seconds as well.
Versatility and Convenience
I appreciate the versatility of this vacuum sealer, as it accommodates both regular and wide-mouth jars. Plus, resealing jars is a breeze, allowing you to extend the shelf life of your dehydrated foods with ease.
Electric Mason Jar Vacuum Sealer simplifies the process of preserving dehydrated foods, Nothing goes to waste.

I love gadgets and I’m glad I purchased this one. It was not expensive and a good alternative to a countertop version like a food saver. It does not work with plastic bags but if your main storage is in mason jars. This works great.
Vacuum sealing keeps your dehydrated foods fresh for extended periods. Whether you’re sealing onions for winter stews or green beans for summer salads, you can trust that your food will remain flavorful and nutritious until you’re ready to use it.
