    This is a very powerful unit that has so many features most people will never use them all. I bought this unit for one of my locations for dispatch purposes, and distance improved over the unit it replaced significantly. Price was, to me, on the high side, but after shopping around, there are very few CB base units available these days, and the price was in line with other models available. I have been very pleased with this product.

    We bought this for our son – we haven’t seen much of him since it arrived. I’m not an author but it’s products like this that make me wish I were – in order to do it justice. I cannot find anything negative to say about this unit. Absolutely great value for the money.

    I’ve wanted a Galaxy DX 2547 base CB for over a year and finally took the “plunge” this Christmas. The radio is everything I expected and I’m thrilled to finally own one. The receiver is very sensitive and “hears” better than any other base I’ve owned. The radio definitely “talks” loud and proud and I get constant positive comments. Pair the 2547 with a D104 amplified hand or base mic and you have one “serious” rig. The Galaxy two year warranty is definitely a plus and Galaxy’s customer service is top notch. Instead of buying a used 15 or 20 year old worn out base CB that you don’t know the history of… spend a few bucks more and buy one of these. You will not be disappointed!
