Under Islam, a “ceasefire” (called a “hudna”) is temporary and in no way, shape or form should it ever be conflated with “peace.” Under the Islamic Republic of Iran’s own doctrine — and by extension all of their terrorist proxies — peace with Israel is expressly forbidden and any “ceasefire” is nothing more than an illusion of relative calm in order to provide the enemies of Israel enough time to regroup and rearm for the next battle against the Jewish state. If “peace” is the goal, a “ceasefire” is not a means to that end for Israel, but it is a means to an end for Israel’s enemies …
Hadith, Al Bukhari 4.268, “Allah’s Prophet [Mohammed] said, ‘War is deceit.’”

The Jerusalem Post – “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Israel had killed a top Hezbollah leader, Hashem Safieddine, who has not been seen since October 3, in a message he delivered to the Lebanese people urging them to oust the Iranian proxy group from their country.
‘We have degraded Hezbollah’s capabilities; we took out thousands of terrorists, including [Hezbollah leader Hassan] Nasrallah himself, and Nasrallah’s replacement, and the replacement of his replacement,’ Netanyahu stated.
‘Today, Hezbollah is weaker than it has been for many many years,’ he stressed in an unusual English language video.
Netanyahu called on the Lebanese people to save their country by ousting the Iranian proxy group Hezbollah, a non-state actor which he explained had destroyed Lebanon, which had once been known as the ‘Perl’ of the Middle East.
‘So, what happened to Lebanon? A gang of tyrants and terrorists destroyed it. That’s what happened.’
‘Lebanon was once known for its tolerance, for its beauty.
Today, it’s a place of chaos, a place of war,’ Netanyahu stated.
‘You have an opportunity to save Lebanon before it falls into the abyss of a long war that will lead to destruction and suffering, as we see in Gaza. It doesn’t have to be that way,’ Netanyahu said.” Read more.
Lebanese Sources: Iran Is Now Encouraging Hezbollah To Strive For A Ceasefire – “During a visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to Lebanon, it was suggested to the Prime Minister of Lebanon Najib Mikati and Hezbollah to focus on examining the possibility of stopping the fighting … the Iranian pressure comes due to an attempt to ‘cut losses’. Sources in Lebanon claim that the Iranian Foreign Minister’s proposal was to abandon at this stage the discussions on electing a new president for the country and to focus solely on examining the possibility of stopping the fighting … Earlier today, Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary-General Naim Qassem for the first time did not link the ceasefire talks to conditions related to the situation in the Gaza Strip.” Read more.
