Maxpedition Mini Pocket Organizer

The Maxpedition MINI E.D.C. Pocket Organizer is a great pouch for Everyday Carry (EDC) items that is small enough to fit in most cargo pockets or drops easily into a bag or backpack. Measuring 4″ x 6″ x 10.75 the Mini Pocket Organizer is designed to be a mini survival kit. The pouch has a full clam shell opening facilitated by double zippers with zipper pulls. The inside has a large pocket on each side plus numerous wide elastic bands divided for easy organizing and securing the contents.

Being, pretty much, disabled, I need to have everything that I need, to use, with me all the time. this mini organizer fits the bill very well. Pens, a sharpie, a torx bit screwdriver, pen knife, mini flashlight, notebook, doctor’s info including a list of my meds, chapstick, and mini bic lighter all fit in well, and the whole kit fits well, in my cargo pocket. Recommended for all who need an EDC bag.

This review is from: Maxpedition Mini Pocket Organizer (Sports)

I bought this to affix to a Maxpedition Kodiak Gearslinger, and it does fit reasonably well to the right side panel. I was pleased to find that it will also slide neatly into the outer pocket of a Duluth briefcase that I carry most days, and that it can be comfortably worn in the large pocket of a pair of cargo pants.

This piece very effectively consolidates and organizes a variety of things that I generally carry every day (see customer image). There are a number of options for keeping the contents in order including: elastic straps, pockets, and a key keeper. Everything fits securely somewhere, nothing moves around, and I’m pleased with the layout.

The Mini Pocket Organizer, like most of the Maxpedition gear, is constructed of very tough material. I expect it to last a long time.

    Update: 4/5/12

In the course of using this organizer, I have gradually added more and more stuff to it. Now I have about twice as much jammed in there as you can see in my customer images, and everything is still organized and functional. It’s a good piece of gear that seems to get better as you use it.

Just received my Maxpedition Mini Pocket Organizer. I have a Spec-Ops Brand Mini Pocket Organizer that costs $27. I like the Maxpedition bag better. It has many more elastic loops and some loops that can hold larger things like a cell phone or larger diameter flashlight. The Spec Ops loops are only big enouth for pen or pencil size objects. The key clip in the Spec ops is on a long strap which tends to get in the way when zipping the bag closed. The Maxpedition has a shorter key clip strap. Also, the Max has a one inch 550 cord loop on the righ hand side to attach things to. The two bags are very close to the same size. At $15 the Maxpedition is a real value, just as well made and I like it better than the Spec Ops (which has a great reputation).
