Bipods are invaluable assets for a variety of shooting activities. While there are really advanced ones on the market with all the bells and whistles, they oftentimes cost an arm and a leg, and not all applications require a high-end bipod. Now, if you want a bipod that won’t break the bank, there are innumerable offerings on places like Amazon, however, you have to be careful as these oftentimes leave a lot to be desired in terms of design and quality (don’t ask me how I know). One way to ensure a budget bipod won’t disappoint is to make sure it’s made by a reputable company. Well, there is a new option on the market – the MDT Oryx Bipod. With an MSRP of only $99.95, this is the most affordable bipod in the MDT Sporting Goods catalog.
MDT @ TFB:
The MDT Oryx Bipod is made of high-strength polymer with rubber feet. Both the deployment and stowing of the bipod’s legs are done without pressing buttons. The adjustable legs have numbered positions. When the legs are fully collapsed and extended the height of the bipod (measured from the pivot point) is 7.2? and 10? respectively. This bipod also features a 50-degree cant adjustment and has a cant tension lever. The MDT Oryx Bipod is currently available with M-LOK and sling swivel stud attachment options. The overall weight of this bipod is 11oz or 12.5 oz depending on the mounting interface.
