As most you know, I occasionally post videos on YouTube as well as on this site. They are usually instructional videos or reviews.
My YouTube channel is growing, but it is still a small one. Interestingly, my most viewed video is a one that reviews a crossbow and I posted about it a while back.
What happened?
The videos posted on the blog are managed on a platform called Humix. Last week, as I started working on a new video, I received a message that one of my videos has been removed.
When I clicked on the message, it indicated:
“Our Platform Quality team has reviewed the following videos and have determined they contain policy violations.”
It is my AR-6 Stinger Crossbow review video, that accompanies this article https://apartmentprepper.com/is-the-ar-6-stinger-crossbow-usable-for-home-defense/.
Fortunately, I posted this video on my YouTube Channel a while back, and it is embedded in the article. It is my most viewed video, currently with 30,262 views to date. It is available on YouTube.
How this affects the site is the video won’t be available on auto-play when the original article is viewed. It’s just interesting to me that a very simple and non-descript review video would be considered a violation of policy, and would be subject to censoring. I tried to appeal the decision to remove my video, but I don’t have high hopes for a favorable resolution.
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, today’s societal climate is not conducive to prepping and many sites are suffering financially.
