As a home invader broke into her house in Loganville, Georgia, a mother of twins armed herself and hid with the children in an attic crawlspace. When Paul Ali Slater, pictured top left, reached the top floor, he found himself staring at the barrel of a .38 revolver. Protecting herself and her children, the unidentified mom emptied the chamber, missing only once.
