    Perfect fit…, May 11, 2012

If you are looking for a school or overnight backpack, this is NOT the one for you. The bag itself is comfortable to wear. The material is good quality and the added pockets are really nice. However, there is not a whole lot of room (as mentioned by others). I use this for a gym bag an find it holds my items needed (shoes, water, towel and a few other misc) perfectly. Would highly recommend.

    This bag is fantastic.

I previously had a cuscus bag so much of this review stems from my 3-year experience with that.

First, the pro’s, there are several:
-The shoulder strap is fantastic, wide and padded. I tend to fill up backpacks a bit too full, but still no cutting into my shoulder. It also allows for either side of the bag to be clipped to, which is a nice touch.
-Large capacity for its size. I can fit more in than i would have expected; laptop, notebooks, lots of groceries…you get the picture, I use it for everything.
-Convenient pockets of a decent size and enough of them that I don’t wish there were more. (the zipper on the “phone” pouch is great, I lost a camera out of the cuscus bag because of velcro)
-Sturdy construction, I imagine it will last me a long time.
-It has a few detail features that show some design care; the clips that allow for either side strap possibilities also have a velcro strap nearby to bind them to the bag instead of letting them flop around; there is a small elastic band above the tightening strap that holds the excess strap after you tighten to fit. These features lead me to believe that whoever designed this, actually wears similar bags.

    A few (very) minor cons:
-The biggest here is that the water bottle holder is not very strong. I have a small steel bottle that falls out if it is full of water and the bag is not completely upright. It would be nice if there was a cinching strap so I could tighten the hold after I put it in. (this is the main reason for it not being 5-stars)
-The bag slides around very easily once it is on. I find myself repositioning it on my back fairly regularly if I’m doing anything active (cycling, walking, reaching for things). I assume this is from the sturdiness(stiffness) of the bag. A little rubber strip on the back and maybe the strap would work wonders.

All in all a fantastic single-strap backpack. I highly recommend it.

My quest for a perfect sling bag continues…, August 7, 2012

I was initially happy with this bag, but after 2 weeks (used about 10 times), the seam for one of the outer pockets came apart. Also, I am not sure if the design of this bag is a good idea. I get the idea, the bag can be worn on either right or left shoulder. The strap can be attached to either side of the bag bottom, but because of this versatility (?), it makes this bag not truly a “sling” bag. There is no natural curve that hugs your back. I like the cell phone compartment, it works well with my iPhone, but if you use a phone case, it may not fit as it is very snug. The outer water bottle holder is not deep/big enough for anything bigger than a 16oz. water bottle.
